WASHINGTON -- Five shootings in D.C. Wednesday night left seven people wounded, one in critical condition.

Police do not believe the shootings are related.

Four men were shot in Northeast D.C., one in Northwest and two in Southeast.

The Metropolitan Police Department says two men were found with gunshot wounds at 46th Place and Central Avenue, and two more were found about a mile away in the 1000 block of 48th Place, near Sheriff Road.

Three of the victims were conscious and breathing, the police say, and one was unconscious and not responsive. One of the four is in critical condition.

In Northwest, a man was shot in the leg on 7th Street and N Street.

A bullet grazed a woman's head in Southeast in a shooting that occurred on Martin Luther King Jr. Ave and Malcolm X Avenue.

Another man was shot in the leg in the 3300 block of Croffut Place.
