DC police arrest teenager in shotgun robberies

WASHINGTON (AP) — D.C. police say they arrested a teenager who brandished a shotgun and tried to rob three people in a 15-minute span.

Police say the teen approached the first of the victims just before 7 a.m. Wednesday in northwest Washington. He placed a shotgun to a person’s back and demanded money, but police say he fled without getting anything.

Police say he tried to rob another victim three minutes later, but again fled without any cash. Then, 10 minutes after that, police say the boy approached a third victim and demanded money. He fled with some cash.

Police say the teen was arrested around 9 a.m. His name was not released.
