WASHINGTON - Two women were cut with a knife and assaulted in the Capitol Hill neighborhood during the past week, according to D.C. police.
The first woman was attacked about 10:15 p.m. May 15 in the area of 9th and C Streets SE - about a block from the Eastern Market Metro station. The second woman was attacked about 9:45 p.m. Wednesday in the 200 block of 8th Street NE, north of Constitution Avenue.
In both cases, the women's attacker was armed with a knife and demanded their property. He then cut the women, police say.
