WASHINGTON -- They're calling it the Million Pibble March, but the organizer says that 5,000 people is the real goal.

"Pibble" is an affectionate term that pit bull owners use to refer to their dogs, and Rebecca Corry, a Los Angeles-based comedian and pit bull owner herself, is organizing a march on Washington scheduled for May 3 on behalf of what she calls a misunderstood breed.

She tells The Huffington Post that she's looking for government resources to be dedicated to eradicating dog fighting and for the abolition of breed-specific laws.

What's costing her some support, however, is that dogs won't be allowed on the march itself.

"Dogs are not allowed at the march because, simply put, dogs cannot change laws. The U.S. Capitol is not a dog park and this is not an opportunity to make it one," Corry tells The Huffington Post.
