WASHINGTON (AP) -- D.C. police say they're identified a man in a video released last week and that he's cooperating with the investigation of missing 8-year-old Relisha Rudd.
Police said Monday they've interviewed the man but they have no new information about Relisha's whereabouts. The video was released on Friday after police searched a large park in northeast Washington for Relisha without success.
The girl lived in a city homeless shelter and was last seen on March 1 in the company of a janitor there, Kahlil Tatum. Her family didn't report her missing, but police began searching for her after repeated absences from school. Tatum's wife was found fatally shot in a hotel room in suburban Maryland, and police found Tatum's body in the park where they searched for Relisha. He committed suicide.
