D.C. offers tax filing and healthcare combo

Saturday - 4/5/2014, 12:11pm  ET

Correction: A previous version of this story incorrectly described the health insurance signup process for residents using D.C. Health Link before the March 31 deadline.

Michelle Murillo, wtop.

WASHINGTON -- D.C. Health Link is trying to help residents finish enrolling for health insurance while they complete their taxes.

Because the same information is needed for filing taxes and signing up for health care, Health Link is sending health insurance brokers to locations across the District to help tackle both at the same time.

Enrollment can be completed on DCHealthLink.com until tax day, April 15.
