WASHINGTON (AP) -- A man who was a patient at St. Elizabeths Hospital in Washington has been found dead in the snow.
D.C. police say the man was discovered on a sidewalk Thursday afternoon in the 2400 block of Shannon Place in Southeast Washington. It was not clear how long the man had been lying in the snow before he was found.
The body was located about 2 miles from the hospital site.
District of Columbia police say no foul play is suspected in the death, but they have not determined whether the death was weather related. The medical examiner's office says the cause of death has not been determined.
St. Elizabeths is Washington's psychiatric hospital to treat people with serious mental illness.
