A guide to the best neighborhood holiday displays in Washington

It's the Christmas season and many homes across the Washington, D.C. area are adorned with twinkling lights and holiday decorations.

If you know where to look, these sometimes-elaborate festive displays can offer a fun, free holiday activity.

Real estate company Redfin has compiled a list of the best Washington area neighborhoods for holiday displays.

If you are a fan of lights, inflatables, statues or music, check out Redfin's top five neighborhoods to help you get into the holiday spirit:
