Police seek help identifying body found in river

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Metropolitan Police are asking for help in identifying a man whose body was found in the Anacostia River.

Officials are also conducting an investigation into the death of the man. His body was found in the river in southeast on Aug. 10.

Officers say the man is black, 5'3," 122 pounds and in his mid to late 20s. He has tattoos of a "W'' in black ink, a "D'' in black ink and a pair of dice in black ink, surrounded by what appears to be flames, also in black ink on his left forearm. He also has two teardrops tattooed under his left eye.

Anyone with information about the man should call police at (202) 727-9099.
