WASHINGTON -- A District of Columbia man faces up to five years in prison after entering a plea in an attack on a 9-year-old girl.
Prosecutors say Demetrick Littlejohn accosted the child after she left a store with her godmother last month, whispered in her ear that he wanted to have sex with her and engaged in sexual contact with her.
He told police that he was high on PCP at the time of the attack and didn't remember what happened.
On Friday in D.C. Superior Court, he entered what is known as an Alford plea, in which a defendant does not admit guilt but acknowledges that there is enough evidence for a conviction.
He's scheduled to be sentenced on October 18.
