WASHINGTON (AP) -- Four reputed members of a D.C. street gang have been sentenced to prison for their roles in a series of a crimes.
The men, who prosecutors say were members of the "Show Out" crew, were sentenced in D.C. Superior Court on Friday to prison sentences between six years and eight months and nine years. They pleaded guilty in February.
Two other people tied to the gang will be sentenced later this month.
Authorities say the gang members committed beatings, attempted robberies and other crimes, targeting the homeless and other people they considered vulnerable. The crimes took place in popular neighborhoods such as Chinatown and Woodley Park.
Prosecutors say the investigation continues. Two other men earlier pleaded guilty, and a third is still being sought.
