WASHINGTON (AP) -- A man who shot two men in the head because of a long-running dispute has been sentenced to 82 years in prison.

Twenty-seven-year-old Irvin Johnson had been convicted in February of two counts of first-degree premeditated murder and other offenses. He was sentenced Thursday in the deaths of 32-year-old Jimmie Simmons and 31-year-old Dominique Barbour in July 2011.

According to prosecutors, Johnson ambushed three men in northwest, shooting all three in the head. Simmons and Barbour were killed. Prosecutors say the third man survived, but, after struggling with his injuries, committed suicide a year later.
