WASHINGTON (AP) - A Northwest Washington club and adjacent restaurant have been closed by police following a fatal weekend shooting.
Police Chief Cathy L. Lanier has ordered the 1920dc and Asefu's Restaurant closed for four days, labeling them a threat to public safety.
The Washington Post reports (http://wapo.st/13LuGEf) the owners of the businesses can request a public hearing to regain their liquor license after the order expires.
Police say 30-year-old Joseph Hardin was shot about 1:15 a.m. Saturday outside the club. --- Information from: The Washington Post, http://www.washingtonpost.com
