If you're in the mood for doughnuts, pizza or cocktails, three new D.C. area eateries that opened this month will satisfy your cravings.

Zeke's DC Donutz
2029 P Street NW, Washington D.C. 20036
Hours: Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Zeke's DC Donutz has joined the doughnut trend that seems to be sweeping D.C. as of late with a funky doughnut shop in Dupont. Owner Aaron Gordon, who is also behind Red Velvet, Rabbit, and Drafting Table, designed the shop's old-school aesthetic to be reminiscent of the Washington he grew up in where go-go bands ruled and graffiti artists used the cityscape as personal mural space.

The eatery features walls with vibrant graffiti designs, a boom box pumping old tunes and ‘80s-style track suits. Pastry Chef Stephanie MacGlaughlin serves up classic doughnuts along with more innovative ones such as chili-spiked Mexican Chocolate and even mealtime-inspired doughnuts like grilled cheese or pizza.

For even more twists on the classic donut, patrons can also top their doughnuts with froyo or indulge in cold cereal milk -- MacGlaughlin infuses milk with sugary cereals such as Fruit Loops and Corn Flakes.

2501 9th Rd. South, Arlington, Va.
Hours: 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday

The third location of RedRocks Neopolitan Bistro has opened in South Arlington along the Columbia Pike corridor. The menu offers classic Neopolitan-style pizzas, house-made pastas, charcuterie and small plates ranging from scallop dishes to turnip puree.

Patrons can expect to see the 3,800 square-foot space adorned with vintage, industrial décor and walls lined with charming reclaimed white oak wood. An extensive beer list also accompanies the Italian fare as well as six signature cocktails and wines sourced from small-scale vineyards.

RedRocks serves lunch daily, except on Mondays, as well as dinner and late-night dining Thursday through Saturday.

855 E Street NW, Washington D.C. 20004
Hours: Tuesday through Saturday starting at 6 p.m.

Jose Andres, internationally acclaimed chef and restaurateur, has delighted Washingtonians with a new, innovative bar concept, Barmini.

The cocktail lab, adjacent to Minibar, serves as an experimental mixology laboratory offering a rotating menu of 100 different experimental and avant-garde cocktails. Molecular gastronomy techniques elevate staple cocktails such as Whiskey Sours and Rusty Nails, while newly conceptualized cocktails equally wow patrons.

The crazy but delicious cocktails range in price from $14 to $20 while small bites are available from $5 to $16. Reservations must be made in advance and can be done so online.
