Power restored to nearly 50,000 customers

WASHINGTON – Power is back for the nearly 50,000 Pepco customers in Prince George’s County and D.C. left in the dark after a tree knocked down a transmission line.

The utility says fewer than 300 residents are waiting for their lights to come back on.

Friday’s outages included parts of Joint Base Andrews.
