Police release surveillance video after robbery in Northwest D.C.

WASHINGTON – D.C. police have released surveillance video of people wanted for questioning related to a Friday robbery in which the victims sought help from the Secret Service near the White House.

Police say a group of men robbed another number of men on Jefferson Place near Dupont Circle in Northwest at about 6 a.m. Friday. As the victims were leaving, D.C. police Cmdr. George Kucik says one of the suspects fired a shot at their vehicle.

The victims then drove to the U.S. Secret Service guard house at Lafayette Park, police say. Kucik says one person was either grazed by the bullet or hit by broken glass, but the injury was not serious.

Police were seeking a number of suspects. They were looking for a silver vehicle with D.C. tags ECO 424.

Police say the video below was captured by store surveillance cameras. Anyone with information can call police at (202) 727-9099 or text a tip to 50411.
