WASHINGTON - A District of Columbia man has pleaded guilty to misdemeanor sexual abuse charges, admitting that he inappropriately groped several women in the city's Dupont Circle neighborhood last summer.
Oscar Mauricio Cornejo-Pena entered the plea Thursday in D.C. Superior Court. He'll be sentenced on Nov. 14.
Prosecutors say Cornejo-Pena would ride beside women on a bicycle, suddenly grab their buttocks, and then ride away. The four assaults he admitted to all occurred last August in Dupont Circle.
Cornejo-Pena pleaded guilty to four counts of misdemeanor sexual abuse, each of which carries a maximum 180-day jail sentence.
