Ivan Iricanin, who has partnered on such restaurants as Masa 14 and El Centro D.F., will open up his own place on Barracks Row this fall.
Iricanin has signed a lease for 3,000 square feet at 523 Eighth St. SE. The restaurant's name and chef are still to come, but it will serve food of his native Serbia and feature a 700-square-foot patio.
"It's a new concept for the D.C. area," Iricanin said.
He has hired Branimir Lukic of Serbia-based architectural firm AteljeAl DOO to design the restaurant and hopes to open by late October or early November.
