WASHINGTON - The D.C. Board of Elections and Ethics has changed its name.
The board is now called the D.C. Board of Elections. The official change comes after the enactment of the city's ethics law, which created the Board of Ethics and Government Accountability, earlier this year. That board handles issues that fall under the "ethics" portion of the board's name.
Board spokesman Alysoun McLaughlin tells The Washington Post ( http://tinyurl.com/7kw52df) that the board does not plan to launch a public relations campaign about the name change. In an effort to keep costs down, McLaughlin says the board will be changing signs, logos and letterhead as they are replaced.
