VDOT to close I-95/395 HOV lanes overnight

WASHINGTON – Starting Monday, June 11, through Saturday, June 16, VDOT will implement overnight closures of the I-95/395 HOV lanes for a variety of work and maintenance.

The closures are as follows;

  • Monday, June 11, 8 p.m. to 4 a.m.: The entire length of the HOV lanes will be closed between Dumfries Road at exit 152 and the Washington, D.C. line.
  • Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, June 12 though 14, 8 p.m. to 4 a.m.: The I-95 HOV lanes will be closed between Dumfries Road at exit 152 and Franconia Road and Keene Mill Road at exit 169.
  • Friday, June 15, 11 p.m. to 9 a.m.: The I-95 HOV lanes will be closed between Dumfries Road at exit 152 and Franconia Road and Keene Mill Road at exit 169.
  • Tuesday through Friday, drivers will be able to access the I-395 HOV lanes heading north from the slip ramp on I-95 near exit 169, Franconia Road and Keene Mill Road, to Washington, D.C.
  • Saturday, June 16, 9 a.m.: All HOV lanes will be open and heading northbound towards Washington, D.C.
